Individual classification and credential verification
Apply against the exact qualification and intended professional classification through SCFHS. Overseas qualifications, training, current registration and professional experience are assessed; additional qualification assessment is available for credentials not on the recognised list. Check examination and specialty-classification requirements before accepting a grade or start date. Resident-doctor, GP and consultant categories must be confirmed with SCFHS and the employer.
Other professions

Do not assume a medical qualification decision applies to another profession or to an extended scope of practice. Veterinary licensing requires separate authority checks.
Automatic or direct recognition describes a particular qualification procedure. Registration, language, scope, supervision, employment and immigration requirements can still apply. A UK licence or job title alone does not settle the route.
