What our registration sources cover

An audit of 140 profession–destination combinations in MyClinicalJob: 100 have an explicit mapped source and 40 still require an authority lookup. This measures this website’s content, not your eligibility to practise.

Prepared by MyClinicalJob Editorial. Dataset edition . No individual professional review is claimed.

What the audit found

We examined seven professions across the site’s 20 destinations. The unit is one profession and one destination. We counted explicit source mappings and retained each source’s existing review record. We did not revisit every regulator’s current rules for this dataset.

  • 11 pairs have at least one mapped source with a recorded dated summary check.
  • 73 pairs have a historical checked summary but no dated summary check.
  • 16 pairs have mapped official starting links only.
  • 40 pairs have no explicit profession-specific source mapping in the current inventory.

These four categories are mutually exclusive and total 140. A pair can also contain additional historical or starting-link sources. A dated record identifies a past editorial check; it does not establish a route’s availability today.

A coverage gap is not a registration decision.

“No mapped source” means this project has more research to do. It does not mean that the destination excludes that profession or that registration is impossible. Likewise, a mapped source does not mean that you qualify.

Compare professions

Each profession has the same denominator of 20 destinations. The table makes the site’s uneven research coverage visible instead of treating every source link as a verified route.

Method and limitations

  1. This is a reproducible inventory of MyClinicalJob’s own source mappings, sampled on 2026-11-02. It is not a survey of regulators or a registration-recognition ranking.
  2. The population is every combination of the 7 profession guides and 20 destination guides in the published content model. Every pair appears once.
  3. A pair is mapped only when its destination record explicitly names a source in professionSources or noteSources for that profession. The union is counted once. General authority, doctor, jobs and visa fallback links are excluded.
  4. A recorded dated summary requires checked=true and the original checkedAt field. Historical checked records without a date and official starting links are shown separately. This snapshot does not refresh or extend any source-review date.
  5. Headline categories are mutually exclusive: dated summary recorded; historical summary with no date and no dated source; starting links only; or no explicit mapping. Additional anyUndatedSummary/anyStartingLink flags can overlap and are not additive.
  6. A mapped URL can point to a general professional body. The inventory does not independently validate relevance, completeness, current rules, applicant eligibility, availability of a route, or the absence of a regulator. A missing mapping means a gap in this website’s content fields.
  7. The build reads dist/assets/data.js and its imported source records. Run node scripts/build-source-coverage.mjs YYYY-MM-DD to regenerate the same measurement from that source revision. Changes to the underlying records can change the result.

The data covers MyClinicalJob’s own published inventory. It is not a representative survey of international registration systems, a ranking of destinations, a comparison of approval rates or an analysis of processing times. It contains no applicant records, salary estimates or outcome claims. The source title, authority, URL and existing check date remain available in the JSON download.

Anyone can reproduce the category counts from the exported records: first count pairs with a dated summary, then the remaining pairs with an undated historical summary, then remaining mapped starting links, then unmapped pairs. The public downloads are fixed to this edition; a later edition should retain the earlier file and explain changes.

Source coverage will be revisited when mappings change, with an annual review proposed by 2 November 2027. A new inventory edition must not silently advance a regulator-summary check date.
